Abstract

The relevance of digital systems has grown considerably in recent years. Digitalization reaches companies of all kinds, such as medical laboratories, banks, and universities. Given the emerging importance of this topic, the study of system characteristics and the methods used to evaluate them has also gained greater significance. This study aims to assess the extent to which the UNICAP student portal follows the main usability guidelines, through a heuristic analysis, presenting the concepts of user experience and usability, as well as demonstrating Nielsen and Molich's 10 heuristics. The evaluation identified 25 problems related to interaction quality, distributed across the 10 heuristics. In light of these findings, the importance of implementing improvements to the system becomes evident, along with the need for continued research to discover further issues and achieve ongoing improvement of the site.
